What to look for when buying an Airtrack?

Many Airtracks are offered by all kinds of companies via the internet with often large price differences. This is due to the type of material used. It is disappointing and it will cost you a lot of money. Don’t worry, we have some valuable tips for you that can help you make the best choice.

We therefore give you a number of tips that you should pay attention to when purchasing an Airtrack.

The company

  1. Check if you buy from a reliable company
Is there an email address, telephone number and kvk number on the website? How long does the company exist? Do you have positive reviews from real customers? Who does the company work with?
  2. See if there is a showroom or show garden
Can you see, feel and try the products for yourself? TIP! At 12SPRINGS there is a prototype Airtrack where you can look inside. You can see how many threads are in it and you can see and feel the PVC material.
  3. Are you dealing with professionals?
Do the employees really have knowledge and can they provide you with good advice?
  4. Are the products in stock?
Do they have the Airtracks in stock? What is the delivery time of the Airtracks?
  5. What about the service?
Is the company easily accessible? Do they provide good service? Can they help you quickly and easily if there is something wrong with the Airtrack?

As the best tested
Many companies claim to have the best Airtrack of the highest quality or the best tested, but where does that show up? We take a closer look at the product features of an Airtrack. That way, you will immediately know when you are really dealing with the best Airtracks.

Make sure that the technical specifications are mentioned with an Airtrack and what they are! In terms of material for the top and bottom is used as SWF (Single Wall Fabric) or DWF (Double Wall Fabric) PVC material. DWF, or double-layer PVC material is stronger and more durable than SWF and therefore your Airtrack will last much longer.

Between the two compressed PVC layers are also horizontal threads. You have these in two densities: 500D and 1000D. The higher, the closer/stronger. 12SPRINGS offers 1000D Airtracks.

Most of the edges of Airtracks are 0.6mm thick. The 12SPRINGS are 0.9mm, for example. This makes them more durable and and less likely to wear out. You also have less chance of leakage.

Is the Airtrack fully machined or partly handmade? If it is partly handmade, you are dealing with even better water and air tightness. How do you recognize this? The thin PVC edge on the 12SPRINGS Airtrack is partly handmade and therefore does not run 100% straight around.

If you look at the inside of the Airtrack, there are thousands of threads in it. These threads keep the Airtrack straight and ensure a good bounce. It is best to choose an Airtrack with a lot of threads per m2, because if you jump a lot on your Airtrack, some threads will automatically pop. If you have an Airtrack with few threads, then bumps quickly form on your Airtrack, because the wires can no longer hold it straight. Make sure your new Airtrack has between 9,000 and 14000 threads per m2, depending on the thickness you buy. You will enjoy your Airtrack for a long time.

Practical tips
After reading the above points and product features of a good Airtrack you can also look at some practical points. We also share these with you, so that after reading this article you are a real Airtrack expert.

– Is there any Velcro at the ends? Then it is possible to connect multiple Airtracks with a triangle connector to one long track. For example, yours and your friends.

– Is the Airtrack tested for the presence of toxic substances and is this also listed on the website?

– Is there an electric pump with the Airtrack? If you have to purchase it separately, it often costs between 60 and 150 euros extra, depending on the power of the pump.

– Is there a nice, large bag at the Airtrack so you can easily store it in and take it somewhere with you?

– Is there a repair kit including plastic key for tightening the valve or repairing your airtrack?
